The spirit of Eid, multicultural harmony, and community connection came alive once again as Ananda Mela Eid Carnival 2026 concluded with overwhelming success in Sydney. Held on Saturday, 16 May 2026 at the Ponds Community Hub, the day-long multicultural festival transformed into a vibrant gathering point for families, friends, entrepreneurs, and people from diverse cultural backgrounds across Western Sydney.
Following the remarkable success of last year’s inaugural event, this year’s carnival returned on an even larger scale, attracting enthusiastic crowds from 11 AM to 10 PM. Visitors enjoyed a festive atmosphere filled with cultural diversity, delicious food, shopping, entertainment, and meaningful community engagement.
The carnival featured a wide variety of stalls showcasing traditional and contemporary fashion alongside handmade jewellery, gifts, home décor, lifestyle products, and an exciting range of popular food vendors. One of the standout attractions for children was the interactive “Design Your Own Pot” activity, where young participants expressed their creativity in a fun and engaging environment.
The event was proudly attended by Warren Kirby MP, who visited the carnival and expressed his continued support for local small businesses and community-driven initiatives. His presence, once again following his attendance last year, highlighted the importance of supporting multicultural events and emerging entrepreneurs in Western Sydney.
Also in attendance was Ed Husic MP, who acknowledged the significant role multicultural communities and local initiatives play in strengthening the social fabric of Western Sydney. Their participation added further meaning and recognition to the event’s growing impact within the community.
Organisers excitedly shared that all vendor stalls for the carnival were fully booked nearly two months before the event, reflecting the strong interest and enthusiasm from local entrepreneurs, businesses, and the wider community. Throughout the day, the festival received an overwhelmingly positive response from attendees, inspiring organisers to continue expanding the event in the years ahead.

According to the organisers, “Ananda Mela Eid Carnival is more than just a festival – it is a celebration of unity, diversity, and community spirit. We are incredibly grateful to see people from all backgrounds come together to make this event such a meaningful and successful experience.”
The organisers further noted that the event successfully achieved its key goals of promoting multicultural harmony, creating valuable opportunities for small businesses and entrepreneurs, and providing families with a joyful and inclusive community environment.
The organising body, Aussie NSUers Association, extended heartfelt thanks to all entrepreneurs, volunteers, media partners, guests and visitors, whose support and participation made the event a grand success.
