Recently, in proud collaboration with the NSU Office of External Affairs (OEA), we were delighted to host a day out for a group of NSU students who have travelled to Sydney to pursue their studies at Macquarie University. We were also honored to be joined by Ms. Shabnin Rahman Shorna, Faculty of the School of Business and Economics.
As part of our ongoing mission to welcome, connect, and support NSUers living and studying in Australia—and to help them feel at home away from home—we warmly invited these students on a special day trip. We were thrilled by their enthusiastic response, which made the occasion truly meaningful.
Together, the group enjoyed a memorable journey to the breathtaking Blue Mountains. The beautiful scenery provided the perfect backdrop for building new friendships, sharing laughter, engaging in meaningful conversations, and reminiscing about our days back at the NSU campus.
It was incredibly heartwarming to see current students and alumni come together, proving firsthand how the NSU spirit transcends generations and distance. The wonderful day concluded with great food and the creation of many new memories.
The Aussie NSUers Association was proudly represented on the trip by President Nahar A Disha, Vice President M Tazim Tareque, and Organising Secretary Sameen Newaz.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the NSU Office of External Affairs for their recent public appreciation of our efforts, and more importantly, for partnering with us to strengthen the ties between NSU and its global alumni community. We truly value this collaboration and the opportunity it provides to connect with our fellow NSUers in Australia.
To Ms. Shabnin Rahman Shorna and all the visiting NSU students: we wish you the absolute best in your academic endeavours at Macquarie University. May your time in Australia be filled with learning, success, and unforgettable experiences.
From NSU to Macquarie, from Bangladesh to Australia — one university, one community, one global NSU family. Together, we will ensure that the NSU spirit continues to grow and bring our community closer, no matter where in the world we are.
