Aussie NSUers Association Celebrates 12th Anniversary with Reunion Cruise on Sydney Harbour

OzNSUers, the alumni association of North South University in Australia held its 12th-anniversary celebration through the scenic “Fusion” cruise ship on Sydney Harbour on Sunday, 25 February 2024.
Reuniting and Celebrating under the Sydney Sun
Alumni gathered at Birkenhead Ferry Wharf in Drummoyne NSW at 11:45 AM, ready to embark on a day of reminiscing, laughter, and celebration. Setting sail at 12 PM, the event offered a delightful atmosphere with a beautiful backdrop of the iconic Sydney Harbor Bridge and Opera House.
A Day Filled with Fun and Festivities
The event featured a delicious spread of foods at various stages, including entree, lunch and desserts. Guests were entertained by live music and children were engaged with activities from the kids entertainer ensuring a fun-filled experience for everyone.
Formal Program and Recognition
The event commenced formally with Acknowledgement of the Country at 12:15 PM, with General Secretary M Tazim Tareque kicking off the program. Vice President Nahar A Disha and Executive Member Abeer Haruni served as the anchors for the event. To add an element of excitement, a raffle draw with exciting prizes was held, along with awards for the best-dressed male, female, and couple. Sydney’s famous Bangladeshi photographer Tumon Ahsan, who is also an NSU alumni captured the event’s spirit with his wonderful photography.
Marking a Milestone with Gratitude
The President of the association delivered a heartfelt closing speech, expressing his gratitude to all members and highlighting the association’s achievements. The celebration concluded at 4 PM with cutting of a cake, symbolising the organisation’s journey and continued success.
